FRAUD ALERT! DO NOT RENT from Thrifty! I rented a car over here and was charged $46 extra because they charged me for the full insurance vs the liability coverage that was discussed. To cover hide the deceit, they 1) gave me the receipts for both insurance plans but hid the higher priced one inside the lower priced one that I decided to use so that it is not visible, 2) only charged the hold on my credit card of the lower price so that you believe that you are getting that rate, and 3) have you sign on a broken machine that does not show you anything and you go with what the worker tells you and 4) don’t let you know until after you are out the door. They send it to you by email, so you cannot change it until after the fact. I hope this is an isolated incident, but based on how meticulous this was, there is a high likelihood that this is taught to workers.
After waiting in line for 45 mins, we finally got to the counter and were told that they didn’t have any cars and we would have to wait another 45 mins to an hour! We prepaid for this service and had a reservation for pick up at 12noon. We have never had to wait this long for a vehicle! This is the worst service!! DO NOT rent with Thrifty in Sacramento CA! They lied and broke the terms of the agreement. Maybe I should sue this company for my time wasted! We watched all the other agencies have customers go up to the counter with no wait times, yet Thrifty had long lines! We’ve been here almost 2 hours and still waiting for our vehicle! Disgusting!
It’s pretty cool. First you get to wait in line for an hour. Than after they spend 20 minutes punching in all the information that you already put into to make the reservation you figure out that it’s another hour wait because they don’t actually have the car that they let you book.
Worst Service ! Had reservation , even then they told me to wait for 2 hours And explanation is “thats what it shows in the system” I never gave bad reviews in my life . but they deserve to get this review from the core of my heart. Stay away from this company
On June 9, 2021, I've been in a line at the Thrifty Car Rental for an hour and 15 minutes and still have 3 people ahead of me. There are two employees but only one male at the counter. The line waiting is easily 20 people. This is unacceptable!
