Despite having confirmed and paid the deposit for our booking in January this year (our original booking in July 2020 had to be rearranged due to Covid), we have today received an email 4-days prior to us arriving in Iceland to say there are no vehicles available. This has absolutely shocked and alarmed us as our whole trip has been planned around the use of a car as my husband, 3-year old child and I had hoped to tour Iceland. This last-minute cancellation has thrown all of our plans into the air and we had been looking forward to this trip for over 2 years. We regularly hire vehicles on our holidays but this is the first time this has ever happened to us. We look forward to Reykjavik Cars providing us with a suitable vehicle so we can enjoy our trip as planned.
We were very pleased with out car rental. Everything went very well. Very good communication. We'll choose Reykjavik Cars the next time without hesitation.
Great rental from start to finish. The staff at their Keflavik office and the customer service team are really nice and very helpful. The car was in good condition, very comfy to drive & economical (we did the whole Route 1) The rental price was really good, definitely the cheapest one around. I highly recommend this rental company.

I had a good experience with Reykjavík Cars in June 2019. Had a totally pre-paid car booking VADS2126. All went well, we had an excellent trip with our Duster for a week. So, when we planned our new trip to Iceland in 2020, whe didn't think too much and chose Reykjavík Cars again. In February 2020 we've made a 15% payment 21059 ISK to Reykjavík Cars and 85% payment 119331 ISK to Lava CarRental - manager from Rekjavik Cars sent us a direct link to make a full payment. Our booking is VADS5304. Then all this covid situation started going on. Our trip and booking were from June 24th till July 5th. There were no flights from Russia, borders were totally closed. As they are even now, in August. Reykjavik Cars returned us all our money . Thats very nice of you due to all this complicated situation, it took some time, but all is good now. Hope next summer will be more kind to travellers. Already miss Iceland so much! We look only towards your services in Iceland!
