Great location overlooking Ventura Harbor. Short drive or bike ride to the beach. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was quite nice with a large balcony. Very comfortable beds. This is an older hotel and has a 70s feel to it although the rooms are all updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The food at Alexander's restaurant is very good too. The pool spa and garden are all well maintained and deserve a mention too. My only complaint really is the chairs and sofa were not as comfortable as I would have liked.
It's great being walking distance to the marina, shops, restaurants, and dog-friendly Harbor Cove Beach. I'm traveling with a small dog and was given a ground floor room with a slider that opens onto the grass which is also near the path to the heated pool and Jacuzzi (Jacuzzi isn't open yet-hopefully soon)...nonetheless I'll keep it in mind the next time I travel alone or with pet. Pet fee is a little high for one night ($75 covers up to 3 days); it would be more pet friendly if it was adjusted for those just staying a single night - $50 is even more reasonable.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was clean and comfortable. Kinda bummed was no food service right now , but harbor right across the way has food.
The hotel is conveniently situated in the neighborhood. That is purely a bonus. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I was overjoyed to see how much my family had appreciated the day. Thank you so much for inviting us! The space was spotless and welcoming. All of the staff are courteous and supportive. I believe it is really healthy and fun for people who go on vacation.
I want to know whose bright idea it was to not put dressers in the room?? It's a hotel! Place is very dated. Prices are too high considering no amenities due to COVID. Won't be back, ever! Marriott is supposed to be better than this
