Small visitor center with nice and colorful informative displays. The little aquarium is a lively exhibit. Park ranger staff on hand. There’s an ocean and island view deck on the upper level. Great location.

Always love coming here when I'm in the area. Has an amazing view over the harbor, and tells you a lot about Ventura Beach. The new addition was plants you could buy, which I thought was pretty cool. All the plan are Native species to Ventura and Oxnard.

Really great local museum about the channel Islands. Live cameras that you can view and relief maps and a nice view from the observation deck. Also a really nice native plant garden. Nice to spend a couple hours in the afternoon there!

Great museum! Small but done very well. The short movie about the Channel Islands was awesome and narrated by Kevin Costner who grew up in Ventura!

Unfortunately still closed, but gardens outside are well-labeled and tended. Recommended for a short diversion when at the beach. Open now! (As of at least April 11).
