I am at the office right now and Diane, the woman at the counter is the rudest person I’ve met in years. In fact she just told the person in line before me to not come before closing on a Friday as she wants to go home. Horrible service and disgruntled staff. Imagine living your life like this?!
One Star - Just for the location. It's pretty close by to my work place and fairly easy to get there. Minus Four - For the horrible customer service. I have never seen a worse USPS customer rep in my life. The lady is very rude and unfriendly. I had a prepaid eBay shipping label and the weight was off by a mere 3 Oz, she created a huge fuss and charged me 3$ extra, then she kept complaining on how she had to re tape the label to the box. She is pretty much rude about all the time. If she's upset about her work, she needs to quit! Not boss around people. USPS locations are always poorly rated due to folks like these. I'd pay a 1$ more every time I come in, if USPS can bring back the old gentleman who handled this before.
Poorly marked in building. The Post Office is hidden behind the elevator banks, next to the doors for the outdoor elevated patio. It's just a small stand. The gentleman at the building's front desk was able to direct me to the correct spot. The stand was open when I went, and they were relatively quick.
Very rude older looking lady working the counter. I can't believe how badly she treated the women in front of me in line. If I didn't need my package to be mailed out I would have given her a piece of my mind. I will not be going back to this location. They have a hard enough time keeping up business hours.
The woman working was noticeably hostile. I had 3 personal (as opposed to business) packages to send, and it seemed like she considered that out of her purview (as this post office is located in a downtown skyscraper and presumably sees mostly business customers). I pre-printed the labels and paid for a separate box for each package. She very rudely told me not to order those boxes again because she doesn't have any (as if I should have known her inventory when ordering boxes), and snapped at me for not taping the labels on each package. (Note: I ordered boxes, so I didn't tape the labels on because I was expecting my packages to be put inside those separate boxes. But logic flies in the face of government workers.) She did not give me the boxes I ordered, and also did not offer a refund for the boxes I had already paid for. When I asked if my packages would be okay being sent through the mail as-is (without being in the sought-after protective boxes), she audibly said "Jesus" in an exasperated tone and did not answer my question. I have never been treated so unprofessionally. She made me feel like I should apologize to her for making her do her job, which I suppose is fair considering she is a government employee and the government has never been very strict, with themselves and their employees, about actually working.
