We can definitely recommend the farmhouse lodge! We arrived late and had to leave early in the morning but our host was very flexible and soooo welcoming. The room and the beds are clean and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast with waffles. Visit the farmhouse lodge, you will not regret it!!! :)
We enjoyed our night there, I wish we had more time. We were so tired, we didn't really venture out. Our view was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the room size was great! I definitely recommend it. Next time, I hope we can stay longer and have breakfast there. It smelled so good.
We loved this place. Nicely decorated and clean, very kind staff, and great location. Breakfast was good too! The price was also better than others we had stayed at during the week. Watch out for the gravel path on the way in and you're golden!
I wish I could say that I actually stayed at Farmhouse Lodge, however, upon arrival at 19:00 (a month after booking on Booking.com), we were told that the hotel overbooked and they rebooked us at a nearby, superior hotel. Mind you, we received no phone call, no email, no message via Booking in advance. This was also the last evening of our holiday and we were exhausted from a long drive. We drove to the replacement hotel to find that it was nowhere near our standards. It was basic, not modern at all, and had two single beds for a couple. This was the last thing we wanted to deal with the last night of our holiday, but luckily we managed to get the last room at a hotel reasonably nearby. If only Farmhouse had contacted us in advance, we could have avoided waste of time and stress. However, if the hotel they sent is to was "an upgrade" as promised, then I'm glad that I didn't have to stay at the Farmhouse Lodge after all. Update: it's been over 3 weeks and we still haven't received a refund for the room from Farmhouse. They have hardly responded via Booking and have been extremely rude on phone calls blaming us for the situation and refused to take credit card info over the phone. Instead they require us to find their email address online (won't provide it) and email the credit card info. My credit card company doesn't allow this because of security risks. So we're currently at a standstill. Absolutely ridiculous; please don't get yourself in a similar situation as we (of no fault of our own except for trying to stay here) are in.
Next time I'm in Vik, I'll probably stay here again. Room was spacious, pretty, and had a beautiful view through the full-wall window doors. Comfy beds and nice large shower too. Breakfast was delicious. Super cute place to stay.
