    In terms of amenities, the campground is a bit worse than some of the other Icelandic sites. While WCs were clean and plenty, the showers were coin operated for only 4 minutes which felt rush. The kitchen area maybe could've used some simple utensils. Friendly owners who clearly knows the area and can give great advice.

    Clean heated kitchen facilities and nice open parking area. Bath rooms are larger if you paid for electric hookups (1000ikr extra), otherwise small. No shelving or hangars makes use of bathrooms inconvenient. No heat in bathrooms or showers, and showers are paid with tokens and only 4min! Least of our 3 campground experiences thus far.

    no wifi, pay for the showers and indoor area not really warm but sheltered. kitchen quite nice but no pots/pans etc. Decent campground, the area makes it worth staying in Bakkagerdi (there are a lot of puffins). Very nice owner though. In summer when the weather is nice, this campground would have been a lot more comfortable. We were just unlucky with the weather.
