DO NOT GO HERE , I repeat DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. They are scamming people who don’t know any better about their cars to give themselves business, went in for a smog with my original catalytic converter and he failed me after looking for not even one second at it to find the numbers to match the car and told me to buy a new one and wouldn’t give me the light fo day to get a word in. They took my money without possibility of a refund, take your business elsewhere to other well established businesses. This guy should lose his license and be reported to BAR.
I have been here for smog checks at least five or six times in the past ten plus years. Have also used them for some minor emergency repair work. They have always been quick, thorough, professional and a great value. What more could you ask for?

live around the corner from this place, so I have been a loyal customer of Smog pros for many years. Today, they lost this customer for good. Today, I brought one of my few cars for smog check. Easy thing, right? After charging me $50(!) technician failed the visual test for the reason (get ready for this one) : "he couldn't find or locate vapor canister on this car" . Wait a second, HE couldn't find it, and that is why I'm paying 50 bucks for it? This car never been modified or messed with. So I went to the dealership, where they told me that the canister located under the car above the fuel tank. I go back to Star Smog with diagram I was given at dealership, but technician wouldn't listen to me nor process refund, giving me some unreachable phone numbers to call. Bummer. I wasted half a day not being able to go to work. I ended up going to a different smog shop, spending another $50, where my car passed within 20 minutes and vapor canister was located, right where it supposed to be. So, be warned, that you can be a next victim of their lack of professionalism, questionable mechanical skills and careless behavior towards customer.
