The selection is pretty good given the smallish size of this place. Nice, helpful staff as well. I've since moved away from the neighborhood and miss this gem-- it was hard to walk out without getting a little something for myself.
I really enjoyed visiting Book People in San Mateo, CA ! I mostly enjoyed their nonfiction section because they had a ton of interesting props, items, furniture to accentuate the books on display.I got lost in that store for hours.I loved all the personal staff displays along with explanation of why they chose their book.Take out a least an hour to look over the store if not more. It is full of things to look at and do. They seem to always host events, book signings, book talks, and even birthday parties. It is really the perfect community book store for San Mateo, CA .
Thank you for being the gateway to stories of Asian American activism.
