My 4 🌟 rating is based solely on the Friday Fish Fry Special. We ordered two Hook-Up specials for 13.99 ea, before we realized that we could have ordered the Big-Daddy special for 19.99 and got the same amount of food 🙄 Anyway..... Our combos included fried shrimp and catfish, with fried okra, greens and cornbread on the side. The portion was filling and we enjoyed it, but for some reason, the greens were just a bit bitter today, but not bad. I also ordered a Rib Tip plate to go. The side of Candied Yams that came with it were good, but this was my first time and I was disappointed in the taste of the seasoning on the rib tips. I was told by a regular that I should have gotten the Pulled Pork or Brisket sandwich. That they are really good! Yum, I will next time 😋 Bonus points because they gave my daughter a slice of pound cake when they heard it was her birthday. That was very thoughtful and appreciated. Over all, the service was great, the restaurant was clean, we enjoyed our lunch and we really enjoyed the vibe of the music playing. After all the businesses lose this last year, we're so glad, Gram's is still here. 🤗
Food was great! Had the ribs with Mac cheese and collars with cornbread roll. My first visit, I will go again. its a busy place with call in orders for pick up and limited inside dining, there's outside dining also. Enjoyed the food 😋.
The Fried Catfish and Ocra were on point, and the Mac-N-Cheese was just as good. It was so good I actually ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of Mac-N-Cheese to go. Update: Still the best fried Catfish I've had in California. The Barbecue Chicken and Beef Brisket are also amazing if fish isn't your thing.
That late night menu is one of the greatest experiences of my life, no joke. And the best sweet potato pie I have ever had. Plus the employees are kind. Doesn't get much better than this 💜😋
I ordered a slab of ribs, along with two boxes of fries. The fries where seasoned well, they brought flavor and life to the table. The only problem for me was the size of the fries along with the outer layer of the ribs. I believe the fries should have been thicker and the ribs should have have more flavor and less char. But none the less it was a great meal!
