Great service, vibe, ethos and wine list. Have only tried the light and the dark ramen and enjoyed them both, especially the light. My favourite bit being their eggs and their noodles which have some bite which I love. Wasn’t a fan of the too fatty pork in it which was more soft fat than meat so not edible to me. Otherwise a great dish.
Delicious and truly unique comfort food in an ambient bike workshop (unusual concept but, like the breakfast ramen, it really works!). Passionate about their wheels and their meals!
Have been to Rising Sun Workshop for dinner on two occasions now and have really enjoyed it. The wine selection is very good and they are able to accommodate me easily (gluten free and dairy free). They also make great non-alcoholic drinks like home made lemonade and ginger beer. The food is always scrumptious and reasonably priced. We got the $60 set menu and were very full at the end of our meal. We really like Rising Sun for an upmarket but not too fancy meal.
I really enjoyed my visit to Rising Sun Workshop. They have very cool interiors, with a car workshop on the ground floor and the main seating area upstairs. It has a chilled ambience and it wasn't crowded or noisy - perfect for catch ups. Service was good and the staff were attentive. I had the Dark Ramen which was delicious and the portion was just right. They also serve Mecca coffee and I was very happy with the batch brew I ordered.
I remember the guy working inside the workshop being quite rude, had a 'what do you know' kind of attitude. Haven't gone back to the workshop ever but I've been to the cafe which is not bad, the stars are for the cafe, the workshop deserves none.
