Good service great bargains
I cannot commend Phil at Good Guys, Caringbah more highly - not only has he always been incredibly polite, friendly and well mannered but he really went above and beyond to assist with the delivery of our appliances when moving in to a new property (which during lockdown was already a difficult enough situation to navigate) I honestly can’t thank you enough for all of the hard work you put in to sourcing the products we wanted and ensuring that everything still went smoothly - absolute legend! I don’t think we would ever consider purchasing elsewhere.
Great place if you want to only check the pricing of stuff and walk around. Only the Dyson rep asked me if I needed help when walked past his isle. Took me a while to have someone to help me finding the product I wanted, which was back at the depot of the shop. Attendee didn't know anything about the product (Rinai heater) which I ended up having to do a further research online before buying it.
‘We went in to see the good good good guys…’ Firstly, this is not a review against anyone in particular. The staff were actually nice and were doing their best, but something went wrong somewhere in management and turned a simple purchase into an absolute pain. My partner and I came in to purchase some appliances including a microwave. All were set to be delivered on a weekday which I had taken off to await for them, apart from two items which were back ordered. The larger appliances arrived without the microwave, so my partner called up to find out what happened. Here’s how it went. Day of delivery: -we were told drivers didn’t want to risk bringing it, we said we’ll pick it up. -another person calls claiming a phone outage caused them to not deliver the microwave (no idea how), and they were going to post it. We said no, we arranged to pick it up. One week later we get a call other items are in. We go in on that Saturday: -we go in to get our two items, and were told one item actually didn’t arrive. -Arranged to pick up that one item at different store. -ok… so we’ll get the other item and the microwave. -we got told they posted the microwave. -we explained that we asked to not get it posted. -they have no idea where it is, we have to wait. That next week: -call up, no one knows where it is, have to wait more days. -eventually get a call that it’s back in store and ready to pick up. That Saturday we go in again: -hi here to collect the microwave. -no one has a clue so they call toll to find out where it is. -wait some time, everyone is literally clueless. -eventually they find out it’s out back. Great! We take it and leave. Get home. Microwave damaged. Literally raged. Waste of time chasing silly things up, no clear communication between staff. The left arm has no idea what the right arm is doing. Will we shop with the Good Guys again - “Nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah”
