Got a wheel alignment and a $28 'brakes, suspension and steering check' here a couple of months ago. They did a great job with the wheel alignment. It also fixed the heavy steering I was experiencing prior to the wheel alignment. Unfortunately a couple of days later the heavy steering came back, and I took the car back to Pedders for another steering check but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. As the issue deteriorated over the next few weeks I took it to a different mechanic. They found that the power steering pump was wrecked beyond repair. I got it replaced and the heavy steering was gone completely post-replacement. Was very disappointed this wasn't picked up at Pedders, hence the 3 stars. That being said, the team are very nice at Taren Point. I just wouldn't trust the $28 check to pick up anything particularly wrong with the car. I guess that's why it's $28!
After phoning up & chatting to a staff member I was invited to bring my vehicle down for a quick checkover as I have had a worrying knocking noise that has persisted for weeks with numerous workshops looking to no avail. After my car was inspected I was brought in & shown the issue which happened to be a loose component, they then tightened it and checked over the rest of the vehicle to make sure, took it for a drive and noise gone. Honesty goes a long way and I would definitely recommend these guys. Thanks a bunch. Greg.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is our second GVM upgrade from Pedders, both experiences have exceeded our expectations. The team at Pedders Taren Point have fantastic customer service and communication, like the good old fashioned kind, friendly and true to their word. They take genuine pride and care in their work and nothing was too much trouble. Can't recommend them highly enough! Thanks again Dean and Sue
I can't recommend these wonderful people enough. Dean and Sue were absolutely amazing to deal with, in our recent GVM upgrade to our 21 Isuzu Dmax. Their communication was impeccable, and they kept us well informed every step of the way. Ordinarily a GVM upgrade wouldn't be something to get overly excited about, but our situation was a little different. After some dingbat with a Landcruiser wrote off our old vehicle (who parks a manual in neutral, on a hill?), we were left to not only source a replacement ute, but also find a GVM upgrade for it, which turned out to be rarer than hen's teeth. After trying to find one all over NSW to no avail, we were super surprised (and somewhat dubious), when Dean told us he had one for us. A few days later, Dean called us to confirm that he had the stock and could do our upgrade for us - it felt like a miracle had happened. After considering many other GVM upgrades on the market, we are incredibly happy we chose to go with Pedders. Every franchise we've dealt with seems to be run by really genuine people who care about doing the absolute best for their customer. In this day and age, it's really refreshing that this kind of customer service still exists. I know that I'll be a Pedders customer for life!
Rang and spoke to Ben about a replacement shock. Said he would call me back. Never did. I tried to call again and was given the most sarcastic, rude response as to why he didn't call back (Too busy apparently and it's not his job). Ben, it may not be "your job" to answer the phone but you wont have "your job" too long if you think customers will want to spend money at your business.
