    I have relied on Dr. Bruce Bern for over 5 years. I have a complex ophthalmic condition with multiple corneal transplants. Dr. Bern is a highly skilled doctor with a very warm manner. He genuinely cares about his patients. In my numerous visits I have always found the office efficient and responsive. Many of his patients, including myself, are seniors. All are treated with respect.

    Terrible senior citizen treatment. My father was on time (though they said he was 4 minutes late), he signed in, went to the bathroom using his walker. Came back 10 min. later and was told his appointment was cancelled because he was not there. First they pointed to the office manager, who later on was not even there. Then a doctor finally came out but nothing was resolved. He made this appointment a month ago, an annual eye check up, and they could not give him a few minutes??? Guys he just needed a little help, and he was not late. Is this how professionals should be treating handicapped senior citizens? Better business bureau, Department of Justice, AARP and Insurance feedback will be hearing about this. #seniorsarepeopletoo, #advocate

    Dr. Bern removed a severely advanced cataract for me in late 2013. He was honest about the severity of my condition, but was upbeat, warm, reassuring, caring and communicated clearly. During the surgery, he was clearly in command of his team (including me) and guided us through to a successful outcome. My vision today is excellent. Before the surgery, I was terrified at the idea of someone "tinkering" with my eyes. Now - as long as it's Dr. Bern - I'm not the least bit concerned.

    I’ve been a patient of doctor Bern’s for almost 30 years. He is a great ophthalmologist. Kind, caring, and intelligent. He runs a very punctual, courteous practice. I’ve always been treated well in the many years I’ve known him. Highly recommended!!
