They're open! Overall nice time. Just had pie and coffee for me. I'm giving it a five star review because I also bought a piece of pie for my daughter and some sparkling water. The manager added beautiful looking fruit orange line and maraschino cherries. It really made her day. I always appreciate a place that's willing to go about and beyond. It'll bring me back.
The pies are back! The food is good. Our waitress was kind but very stretched over a busy restaurant. This resulted in semi-warm food. It was clear that my order was mostly prepared without dairy. Although the shrimp was brushed with a butter sauce. Two things I would highly recommend to the staff, clean your plating before serving. Our plates were a mess of drippings and splatter. The restaurant went through a period of in-occupancy and renovation. It needs a thorough cleaning! With these suggestions in mind, It is good to have a Marie Callender's restaurant back in town. Thank you.
Their food is superb. The potato soup is so delicious. Also their ham sandwich is scrumptious. The waitress was very attentive and polite. The place was not too busy. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the aesthetics of this fine dining restaurant.
Order dinner. Took forever couldn't get coffee refill. Asked for a dinner roll and she didn't know what it was. Finally said she could give us sour dough slice bread. Took forever we finished our food. Ask for pie slice she gave a menu and didn't come back. The service was horrible. Will not eat there again. The pie is wonderful.
I ordered online and went to pick up my order in the restaurant; they had no record of the order. Manager looked at my phone/receipt, then said I shouldn't have been able to order what I ordered online. To his credit, he offered to get the order made regardless. Unfortunately, the order was made incorrectly. I even asked if the sandwiches had no mayo before leaving and he stated that they had no mayo. I believe he was just trying to get me out of the restaurant since they were busy. My mistake was taking his word for it because there was indeed mayo on both sandwiches. I really, really want to support the restaurant so it doesn't shut down again. I work at Fresno State so having another option for food is always welcome. But not having a streamlined ordering process (if it isn't efficient, don't offer it) and having the manager lie to me will make it hard for me to spend money here in the future.
