Excellent place to train. Family friendly. Caring teachers.
I trained at Miyagi Kan for about 2 years and had one of the worst experiences, where I felt money came before student learning and growth. I started training full time at the main dojo after about 20 months instead of the dojo in my suburb because that better suited my goals of becoming a black belt. The Sensei at my suburb dojo threw such a big fuss to the head of the club Sensei, that he was losing money with students transferring to the main dojo. As a result, I was ignored during training sessions at the main dojo, excluded from being coached and forced to changed my membership back to the other dojo (note, neither of the Senseis had the courage to speak with me face to face about this and instead used the club administrator to relay the message). I decided to leave the dojo. This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and goes against the true spirit of karate.
Teaches karate to males and females, over 8 years of age, for self defence, fitness, recreation or competition.
Very professional and clean with a welcoming family atmosphere
