I am so glad and happy to send my 2 daughters to PAL School. My children are year 5 and year 3, they started from term 3/2021, they are in week 5 term 3 now, just only a few weeks at PAL, they had improved a lots in academy, very mindful with their studying, more responsible with their homework. Not only that, they are always thankful and appreciate with everything that they have. They help me to do some small chores at home such as clean their room, clean the table after their meals or bring rubbish to the bin after dinner. "Small people doing small things, big people doing big things" - I believe PAL is the best choice of school where providing the best learning environment for our children. PAL is not a Buddhist religion school, Pal is welcoming everyone who want to learn, live healthy and wisely. Thank you to Mr Pal, thanks to all Pal's teachers and staffs - I am very appreciate for all of your hard work and effort in teaching our children.

Sending my kids to this school is the dumbest thing I've ever done in my life, double lose money and time, most of other bad reviews are real, some of the school staff under the THAT "dictator" ,You can punish naughty students by cleaning a week toilet but not including forcing my kid to touch their faces after touching the urinal,Is hurting students' self-esteem included in the school's mission? Just find out today that it happened a year ago still makes me angry, this is on you Kelly.

I want to sincerely thank Pal Buddhist School for helping my family. After my son started at Pal, I noticed an incredible improvement in his attitude and behaviour. The extra curricular activities although is a burden to the parent, provide so much practical learning that is so beneficial. Now my son can admit to his faults and pick up on his academics. I highly recommend so I give them 5 stars.

I am a former teacher at Pal who was involved with the school since its inception, taught there until my retirement at the end of 2014 and have remained as a consultant and occasional extramural teacher ever since. I’ve been a teacher for the last 40+ years, teaching in many elite Sydney independent schools prior to coming to Pal. For those who are paddling through the myriad of reviews here, and having read very carefully the “Ugly Truth”, I felt inclined to offer my genuine experiences so that the truth be told from someone who saw all that went on and goes on at Pal. To many, the Founder of the school, Mr Pal, is not only a teacher, but also a mentor, a visionary, a counsellor, a friend and someone who will never give up on believing in the good in people. Having held a reputation in the area as an elite educator for the last 35 years, there are generations of people whose lives have been changed by Mr Pal’s classes and school – I for one, have seen and met many, many of the alumni who have come through the doors decades after their schooling years, now married and raising a family, yet still offering their heartfelt gratitude and respect to their teacher, Mr Pal. Certainly, Mr Pal is not always an easy man, but then, passionate idealists seldom are: otherwise, they would never get anything done. This is part of what made me feel so connected to be in a community at Pal, even as a teacher; students see the school as their second home, and their teachers as their wise elders - and for those who don't see it that way, we could all agree that it is not always a good fit for all. Experiences are to be felt and remembered by the individual, but while we read the spoilt experience of one person, let us not be misled - at Pal, there is a strong sense of truth-seeking and one is always welcome to verify and see it for themselves. It is difficult to understand what the reviewer means by asserting that this is “not a Buddhist school”. There are weekly Dhamma classes for all students, many visiting speakers, and two resident and inspirational Chaplains. Further, the students are actively involved in working with the local temples, and assisting local communities with voluntary work. Most of all, the whole ethos of the school emphasises courtesy, respect and lovingkindness among students, and between students and staff. Thus, again, shows our Buddhist principles in action. The Reviewer does mention the kindness of the student body: it should be obvious that this is the natural flowering of a Buddhist community. The Reviewer states that able students will do well anywhere. This may well be true, but they are likely to do even better in a welcoming and supporting environment with no tolerance for bullying, small classes, and individual attention from teachers who are encouraged to care about them. Less academically able students are equally valued and encouraged to find their own strengths and to be proud of them, and the resultant confidence often helps them to discover they have far more ability than they ever realised. They will also be offered unstinting one-on-one help from their teachers. It is one of the School’s great joys to watch a timid and uncertain child find s/he is valued and esteemed by the school community, and begin to blossom. PBS is more than just a school. It is a truly good place.
