We hired a car from Daniel for 5 days after reading his positive reviews on google. From start to finish, communication with a Daniel was prompt and effortless. He tailored the drop off and pick up times/location to suit our needs and was always on time. The car was perfect for our needs and arrived freshly valeted. Daniel himself was a really decent, trustworthy chap. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Unlike other companies, he didn’t take any deposit from us and it was clear that he wouldn’t try to potentially exploit us unfairly for vehicle damages, which appears to be a not uncommon practice with some other firms. The price of the rental was very reasonable. In short, I think you would struggle to find a more helpful, kind and transparent individual to hire a car from in Malta.

Daniel is extremely nice and sympathetic, he cares about his clients. He will provide many valuable tips on left-hand traffic and related to Malta. In the case of a flat tire, he offers a free wheel change. Its offer is very reasonable, and although the price may be slightly higher than that of the large companies available at the airport, in the case of Daniel, you do not have to worry about hidden costs, fuel surcharges, or saying that you caused the old car body damage. One of our best experiences in Malta was with Daniel - kind, honest and friendly person. We had taken a small car from him on a Tuesday morning until Saturday evening. Normally it is considered 5 days by any rental agency but he charged us only for 4.5 days. Also, he picked us up from the airport and didn't take any security deposit. However, if you damage or scratch the car, you'd have to pay compensation up to 450 euros. At the other places we enquired, the security deposit could go up to 1600 starting from 300 euros. Like you, I too suspected the 5 star ratings that Daniel has got. But later I knew that's for a reason. Nope, for many reasons.
