If you visit Cuba, you cannot stop going to Trinidad. It is unique in Cuba. With its Spanish colonial style it is a gem of architecture. It seems like climates in another era. Every street, every corner and every house tells a story. Its inhabitants are very sociable and pleasant. The night in Trinidad is very lively. There are many very good bars and restaurants, and places where you can listen to live traditional music. A 3-night stay there is ideal to get to know the city and its surroundings. There are many activities you can do: city tours where you will take postcard photos. Not for pleasure they say that it is the most photographed city in Cuba. You can also take horseback tours with the people who propose them through the streets, you will always find Cowboys who offer the tours near the Contra Los Bandidos Museum and in the Plaza de Las Tres Cruces. There are houses where you can rent bikes and you can visit Ancón beach (I recommend staying for the sunset), you can also visit the Valle de los Ingenios to learn about the history of slavery and sugar cane during the Spanish colonization. You can also pay for an excursion to Topes de Collantes, the natural park located in the mountains. If you go to Cuba, do not forget to visit Trinidad to know the true essence of Cuban culture.
The historical center of the city is considered among the best preserved in Latin America, a bulwark that earned it the title of World Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 1988. It is a site of sumptuous mansions and simple, low, colored houses cake; churches, the Plaza Mayor and other smaller squares, museums. Beaches of clear, warm, Caribbean waters. Jungle, mountains, waterfalls. And a lot of rumba. There are two designated places to listen, and dance, live music: the Casa de la Música and the Casa de la Trova.
It is an excellent place, there is the Casa de la Musica, where you can dance salsa and have fun. The Cubans are very kind and polite. It is safe and that allows you to walk until late at night.
