The music, the rum, the salsa, the passion drives this location and this town. The town has a beautiful rule where vehicles are not allowed in the old part of the city. There are an abundance of dance classes offered around the town which have walk in availability. We happened to arrive into the town during a festival period and we joined in with the festivities where the locals made us feel more than welcome. I have nothing but fond memories of this location and I highly recommend everyone to go here and enjoy the free spirit of life here.
Bring it on - this palce is ON THE STAIRS so do not walk around or anything. Great, local experience...
Really average touristic place. Went there about 6pm before the sunset to have a drink. All the drinks are just ice and water and clearly they don't use either really pineapples nor coconuts for the drinks. Prices little bit more than the other places. We went in the evening as well as there was a live show. Entrance in the evening 1 CUC. The show was good, but there are much better places around for salsa, more authentic and with better drinks. I wouldn't go back again.
Great authentic experience. Enjoy a nice show with dancers, singers and live performances. The entrance fee is only symbolic and costs 1 CUC per person. If you couldn’t get a table next to the stage, you can ask to sit on the stairs next to it and wait that someone will finish.
We had an awesome night in Trinidad with live music, cold Cristal beers for 1.25 CUC (went in 2016 tho) and lots of salsa dancing going on right outside Casa de la Musica under the stars. One of the fewer times in Cuba when we felt like this was sort of an actual authentic Cuban experience as lots of locals were clearly having a good night out, having fun, dancing and stuff without only performing for the tourists (although Trinidad is quite touristy, don't get me wrong).
