2 college aged children and parents all had a wonderful time. Being able to feel safe walking or driving a golf cart into the village to a get coffee at 6am at Brewed Awakenings, enjoying their seaweed shakes, meeting many local residents, meeting families at the villas, sitting at the bar, in the pools, walking the beach, going on the tours, scuba-diving, fishing right off the pier at the resort, and having a spacious villa with air conditioning, room service anywhere on the property, plus many other reasons, this property is the perfect place to stay while exploring all that Belize has to offer. Also, traveling during the peak of Covid and Delta, I felt safe knowing how the country took the pandemic seriously. Country-wide curfew at 9pm, mask mandate, Covid testing prior to entering the country and and prior to going to the airport for your return flight home (ensuring everyone at the airport and on your flight as covid negative), made for a relaxed vacation. All this, plus an incredibly helpful, patient and kind staff.
What a gem of a boutique hotel! They treat you like royalty here with the cutest welcome drink & cold towel. I love the Mediterranean vibe and the pool in the middle by the water. Eating on the dock on the water was lavish too. The food is excellent. The fruit plates (papaya especially) are my favorite and the fresh juices! The front desk is amazing at coordinating jungle tours, fishing trips, and Ranguana π Island. The prices are very reasonable on this island. I love the village that you can rent a golf cart too. Also, for a few hundred dollars π΅ you can have a 3 bedroom place.
Our family visited Chabil Mar Resort a few weeks ago and it was the perfect getaway! The friendly and fast service is amazing! They bring your food and drink right to wherever you are enjoying your peaceful day. It is extreme clean aim the rooms and around the property. We rode their free rental bikes and loved using their free paddle boards and kayaks. The food and drinks were phenomenal!! Canβt recommend this place enough to anyone needing a vacation with or without kids.
This place was amazing overall primarily due to Nakita the Concierge and Lacho the Driver. What kept it from receiving 5 stars was the poor service we received our last night there, where we had dinner on the end of the peer. Our waiter disappeared twice and the ribs were so horrible, they made my wife sick the next day. They had one option of fish/seafood and that war snapper. The other disappointment was the bartender Deshawn, who spent more time laughing (uncontrollably at times) than making descent cocktails. For the price we paid for drinks, you should be able to taste the liquor and when asked a question, provide us with an answer instead of pretending not to hear us or returning to the horrific laughter that made my head hurt and ears bleed.
Such a great location and very helpful staff. We just finished a family vacation and will definitely be back
