Quiet, cute & cozy / Great customer service / Incredibly low rates
My boyfriend and I stayed here this last week (April 2017) and our room was sweltering. Somehow we got stuck with a center room on the only side of the building with no breeze at all. It was oppressively hot and made it nearly impossible to sleep. When we would sit on the porch, we'd go around the corner and find an amazing breeze - it was so strange. Our room shouldn't have been full price. It was smaller than the other rooms, had no coffee maker, had half the windows, and was unbearable to stand inside with the heat. My boyfriend slept on a hammock outside for our last night. It's unfortunate but they should make that room A/C only or else only rent it out at half price after warning people of the heat. Owners were very nice, helped us with booking a dive tour (though I wouldn't use the same company again) and getting to San Ignacio by bus, plus gave me aloe vera lotion to use when I burned my back really badly. This place would have been really great except we couldn't actually enjoy our room. Also, pictures on the website make it look like the inn is on the beach and away from other lodges, which also isn't the case. If you book there, make sure to ask only for a room on the breezy side of the building.
Clean rooms with nice wood interiors.
This is a budget hotel, so no A/C. But other than that, its really a gem! My room stayed fairly cool day and night due to the breeze and the fan. Only a 2 minute walk to beach, in a quiet section of the village. The owners are super nice and attentive to your needs. Rooms have coffee maker and fridge. Towels were provided, though not for beach use. Bikes to rent for $25 BZ a day (should be complimentary I think.) Near grocery store. $12 BZ cab fare to airport. Highly recommend this, unless you simply must have air conditioning.
Good place to stay for less money! Close to the beach but silent! Friendly owner and very clean room! Loved it!
