Thanks to Karpaten's team and to their partnership with the local agency, MTS, we had a great experience in Egypt, at Jasmine Palace Resort. Our tour lead, Michael, was very nice, supportive and always available to our requests, even at late hours. Well done!
My trip in Hurghada it was exceptional. I was at Sunrise Romance Resort (only adults) one of the top 5 resorts. Michael from Karpaten, was very helpful, a serious and nice guy. I highly recommend Karpaten, they are looking after you, they take care of you!
It is a very safe and punctual agency i recommend with pleasure. Especially my recollection of Michael,the guide at the hotel staigenberger Aqua Magic ! Thanks a lot !
Two large red flags for me, when traveling with Karpaten: 1. The flight was moved one hour in advance and we did not receive a notification. The representative at the airport wasn't useful neither - she just 'ran' to some other task when we approached her (this, when we finally manage to identify her). As a result we had 10 minutes to figure it out on our own, and run through security, to catch the flight. 2. The excursions.. The travels were recommended by their representative in the hotel, the guides were hired by Karpaten, in a Karpaten bus. When taking a trip to Luxor, the guide "added" an extra excursion - to be payed 10 euro each, and we did not get an alternative (you had to go) - a rip-off, and waste of time which meant we had to 'run' through objectives for the reminder of the day. Also I had to confront that guide for making an inappropriate remark to my wife. (@Karpaten, If you want to know their names, email me)
We’ve chosen Karpaten for our trip in Kenya because they had a charter flight and the prices were the lowest. But we were disappointed with their professionalism. We didn’t have all the correct information until we arrived at the airport where someone from the agency was supposed to wait for us. They only gave us the minumum information after we asked multiple times(sometimes they weren’t even answering the phone) and they didn’t help us with anything, it was almost like we went by ourselves. During the holiday, the flight was changed and we had to stay for about 8 hours more in the hotel, buy they didn’t ask at our resort to give us more time for checkout. This happened because they asked for “tips” for the hotel’s employees, and because we refused to give them as we wanted to tip the personal by ourselves, they didn’t help us. I’m happy that I’ve chosen only the flight and accommodations with them and not the optional trips. Except these situations, the flight was ok and the resort we’ve chosen was nice.
