We loved our stay in the Sorya Guesthouse. It was our first stop during a 10 day trip through Northern Cambodia and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Their rooms are comfortable with a cute balcony. Their restaurant is located on the upper floor overlooking the river with great food such as pizza and pasta. We absolutely loved their pumpkin bread. You have to try it!! We spent both evenings for dinner there (also because currently all other restaurants in Kratie unfortunately are closed) however it felt like spending time with family and the team makes you feel like home. Really fun times. We also booked the kayaking tour with them and loved it. Many thanks to Ben our tour guide who did an amazing job. A big thank you to Borey and his team and their wonderful hospitality. We highly recommend it.

A very good hotel in Kratie that we did not know about for long. The ambience is good. The entire place has an aviation theme, which is both refreshing and enhances curiosity in a good way. The owner (an Australian aviation aficionado) and the staff are good and welcome the residents will love and affection. There are 8 rooms in all and the rooms are named after the flight travelling class like economy, premium economy and first class. They have 2 rooms facing the lovely Mekong river. The river by itself is pristine in the city. The cafe has a lovely view of the river and the mornings are great with people exercising and fisher folk ideally in their boats. The views in the evening esp. the sunsets are fabulous. Sit in the cafe, order your food and enjoy! The wifi was very fast too. The rooms were very clean, the linen and supports superb. The bathrooms are well equipped with hot water and the cosmetic packs provided are also good and hygienic. The food is the best part, the pizza’s were very good and they have good vegetarian options also. The staff is very cordial and understands the needs of the customers. We would recommend the Sorya Guest House highly for all people looking at Kartie. It is an idyllic and serene accommodation that you may want to enjoy if you are looking for a place where you can stay for 2-3 days and do nothing, just unwind and rest. Kratie by itself is a lovely town that is blessed with rich culture, flora and fauna. It reminded me of Kep, Kampot but without the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!
