    Beautiful riverside walk. The paving was very recently redone, and new trees planted, so it had a very tidy, modern feel. The most beautiful thing about this park is how much it changes seasonally. In the wet season (May through October), the river swells, and is a deep brown with the sediment it carries. During the dry season, (November through April), the waters recede and become a clear blue. A must-see on any trip to Kratie!

    An acceptable paved area along the Mekong but the existence of paving stones along it is variable, making running along it not entirely straightforward, requiring periodic jumps down onto the carriageway. There is also not enough shading to shelter you from the heat so typical of Cambodia, unless you do your workout extra early in the morning. For the general pedestrian there are some decent views out into the river, and along the path one can find stone benches - although these still aren’t great for shelter under the canopy of a tree. Not a place I would recommend wholeheartedly, the “park” - a misnomer given the relative lack of trees - is at least not along a very busy road.
