The owner (I guess?) and the staff are always silent, staring at their phones. No conversations, no atmosphere in the common area, nothing. They welcomed us saying: “The water is cold”. Not even a “Hello”. Wow. The room: The socket doesn’t work, pillows and the mattress are full of mold (covered with pillow cases, bedspread and sheets) but you can breath it in the air. Between the room and the bathroom there’s only a curtain (no privacy), no toilet paper, no hot water, no mosquito net, only a towel to share in two. The sink water falls on your feet, slides on the floor and ends down somewhere with the shower water. You can’t bring and eat your own food and drinks (apparently cause of rats). I would have been lenient if it were a new business, but these people spend their days staring at their phones instead of making things better and in my opinion one star is even too much. For $2 more, just around the corner, you’ll find a nice, clean bungalow with hot water. Avoid this place.
Owner not helpfull at all, no hot water in the room, no wifi, one small blanket for two, no toilet paper and when you ask for some they give you five tissues that you can see through. Definitely not worth any dollars. For the same price you can have everything listed missing in the same town so choose well
I had a wonderful stay here. Friendly staff and good food, and they’ll help you organize elephant visits, trekking, busses, etc. Dorms are basic but cheap, standard hut style in Cambodia. Met a wonderful group of travelers to explore waterfalls and viewpoints with.
We arrived and their was noone there, we sat in the nice bar area for around 30mins before someone turned up. The room was a basic bungalow as expected however the mosquito net provided had mutlipe holes in. Sink was unplummed and the room was generally stained and dirty. When we did speak with the workers they were friendly. A hammock on the balcony was a nice touch.
You get what you pay for. Only $5 a night, but you get a cold shower, floors are slippery and the mosquito net is full of holes. But the food is good, the area is quiet and it looks awesome. If you're one of the people who cares more about what you do during the day than where you sleep, this place is great for you. But if you actually care about spiders in the bathroom and beetles in your hair, maybe pay a bit more for a hotel...
