    There are few bakeries in Modesto and this quaint store off McHenry & Rumble is a jewel. I have bought the cannoli's, puff pastry, and other small desserts. Recently I bought a cake for an anniversary and it was beautiful in the display case and when I looked at it at home - GORGEOUS! The eye to detail with gold paint on the sides the light lavender coloring...and it tasted so good - it was not too sweet. They also do special orders - call them,

    On the merits of the cannoli alone I fully endorse any dessert lover in proximity giving this bakery a chance. The filing in the cannoli was delicious and the snap and crumb of the cookie was perfect. The eclair was just as good. The sweetness is balanced rather than over the top and the rich flavors and textures of each item I tried were excellent.
