Bike locker is at the far end of the parking lot, under the trees. Unnecessarily far away especially if you're using a northbound train, but better than nothing I suppose.
Every Dec. Caltrain has a decorated X-Mas holiday train that makes nine stops. Downtown San Mateo is one of them. Very popular with folks that live in the area. In 2016 a band from Sequoia High School provided live entertainment while we were waiting for the train to arrive.
Not the prettiest station, but one of the cleanest. Convenient parking including an underground lot directly below the station. Cell signal is great for att and tmobile carriers. No public bathrooms or nearby places with public bathrooms. Since it's located in Downtown though this station provides convenient access to loads of businesses.
One of the nicer Caltrain stations to wait for a train at. Many nearby restaurants/coffee shops. Seating in the shade as well.
It's so walkable! It's over if my favorite Caltrain stations because it's near tons of dining options.
