Best Western Porterville Inn

Young lady at the front desk was the only positive experience of this visit. 6:40 pm and rooms were still not cleaned and available to check in. There was a guest who came to the front desk while we were trying to check in who given a room that had still not been cleaned from the previous guest. Numbers. Yep. Not a single number on a wall anywhere directing you toward your room, but, there were plenty of cobwebs on those walls possibly from last years Halloween party which blended in perfectly with the green slime filled swimming pool that's now breading who knows how many different human attaching strains bugs. The remote in my room only had on-off-volume-channel buttons so your get to search one channel at a time to see whats available. So if your heading to Porterville I would strongly recommend that you stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door where the only thing that will bug you there is their beds are probably more comfortable than the one you have at home.

My family and I dad a very nice time here. We stayed just for a night , our room was very clean and spacious, staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back again next time .

Generally I'm quite pleased with Best Western but this one in particular was not a good experience. I chose to pay double the price of the surrounding hotels/motels so that I would have a clean environment. The rooms surfaces had not been wiped down, evidenced by the food crumbs on the desk and sticky drink rings on the nightstand. The bed looked like someone had laid on it already. And there was a hairbrush on the floor next to the AC unit. I had already paid when I got to the hotel and the guy at the desk charged me again. When I asked him to fix it he said he didn't know how and would call his manager and then call me. I did not receive that call so I asked someone else in the morning. Luckily he knew how to fix it. I'm giving two stars just because of the second man who helped me. He was perfect. Otherwise it would be a solid 1 from me.

The room was clean and comfortable. Except for some sticky substance (looked like marmalade) on bathroom and closet doors and ironing board (which I needed and never received the replacement). The bed was not stable. It moved around and was noisy. The remote and internet were not working properly. The coffee pot was missing and the hairdryer was not working. Which was a bummer. The Sunday morning front desk staff were not the friendliest or professional looking/speaking. I like staying at Best Western for their cleanliness and services, but this Best Western, unfortunately did not meet those expectations or standards.

Staff is friendly and the place is kept clean. The rooms are currently going thru a face-lift process so you may notice some furniture boxes lying around and the old couches stacked up out back but the price is outstanding, the rooms are big and modernized. New furniture is being placed throughout, with plush beds and cushy sleeper sofas, the new modern designs are quite nice. If you would rather spend your time outdoors they have a lovely garden area with plenty of shade and lawn chairs to relax and soak up the summer. And, rumor has it, a new pool pump is being installed so cooling off this summer will be a snap.
