Crown Cleaners

I used to go to their location on Sunset to get all of my dresses hemmed. They did a good job and their prices were reasonable. I brought a sundress in to get taken in on the top half, SIXTY DOLLARS. I know we're all struggling because of the pandemic, but are you kidding me?? Granted. I made the mistake of not getting a price before hand, but like I said I'd been using their other location before. I didn't think I would get so insanely ripped off. I decided I would splurge a bit and get an old dress fixed since I can't afford to shop right now, $60 later and that government money is dwindling fast. I called and told them there must be a mistake, because I couldn't believe that little amount of work would cost so much. Nope. So.. the point is, just don't come here.

They are simply the best! Been going to them since the 90s. Excellent dry cleaning, alterations and laundry. Leaving California but Crown Cleaners is the one thing I will miss. Kind, decent and honest.

Great tailoring!

I brought in a new pair of Theory pants to be dry cleaned and when I picked them up they had been hemmed! The clerk asked me to come back the next day to pick up the pants which they would return to their original length. She said I would only be responsible for the dry cleaning charges. I said as an act of good faith they should fix the pants and charge me nothing because they had already wasted my time by hemming pants that I had not requested to be altered. She said she would have to ask the owner for permission. When I came in today, the pants were now too short, they had a permanent crease where they had been taken up, and there wasn't enough material to get them back to their original length. She then told me that I wasn't wearing the pants correctly and started pulling the legs down at the ankle to show me how I should wear the pants lower on the hip so that they appear longer in the leg. CRAZY! At this point I was boiling mad. I completely lost trust in their ability to handle the problem appropriately. I told her I would never return and left the store with the pants. I re-contacted them later today and this time spoke with the owner. She very kindly refunded me the cost of the damaged pants after I showed her the original receipt.

recently had alterations done here and they did a poor and incomplete job. This used to be the best place to go but I can not Reccomend them anymore for alterarions. When I called to discuss it, the person who answered the phone hung up on me. I only called to let them know that my alterations were incomplete and done wrong- for example one leg would be left unhemmed, on another they were not even and the sewing lines were not straight. This is just to name a few of the mistakes. These were all simple alterations.
