    Having always had good in-store experiences at Tashman I decided to try their screen division for 3 new screens and two re-screens with installation at a local rental property. It should have been a red flag when I had to call three times just to set up getting an estimate. I kept being told that someone would call me back but no one ever did. The second red flag should have been when I was told that they would charge $157 in advance just for the estimate and then apply it to the invoice if they got the job. This policy is a blatant effort to trap a prospective customer into whatever estimate they come up with and that’s what it did with me. Having just replaced screens at another property a year before I had a rough idea of what this job should cost, but at $488 Tashman’s estimate was at least 50% higher than their competition. Unless I wanted to walk away from $157, I was stuck. It took more than two weeks to make the three small new screens and, again, no one contacted me when they were ready. I had to call repeatedly and then finally call the installer directly to schedule installation because he repeatedly did not call me back in response to messages. At one point, Tashman sent me an invoice saying I had not paid the initial $157 for the estimate. This was untrue and I had to submit my credit card receipt to prove it. All the way around, a VERY bad experience and I will never do business with Tasman again. Any business that charges $157 for an estimate on such a small job is tacitly acknowledging that they are not competitive and will rip you off if they can. Lesson learned.

    The human beings there, are very knowledgable and useful. they've been in commercial enterprise a long term and it indicates. I had a person provide me an estimate on a window and he couldn't have been nicer. first-class old world sort of hardware keep, assist them. they're aren't too lots of them anymore.

    DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! To be a small business during the pandemic you would think the customer service would be top notch. Unfortunately that is not the case. The manager at this location was incredibly rude to me and ignored me when I tried to ask for assistance. He then pointed to the back at one of his employees instead of acknowledging my existence. I will never step foot in this store again. If it doesn’t last through the pandemic you’ll know why.
