I had such an amazing experience. Everyone was so kind and understanding. I went in for a d&c and was a little nervous about the anesthesia but my nurse Stella was so amazing. She reassured me that everything was going to be fine and made me feel comfortable and safe. Thank you so much.
Update: father did have a stroke, confirmed at Kaiser hospital. This could have been stopped at Sharp hospital. Horrible experience. Father had a very bad condition and almost had a stroke. Went to this hospital and was diagnosed with nothing , just dehydration but that was wrong! We went to Kaiser instead and they told us he almost had a stroke. He is in great care now but will never go to sharp again. I do not recommend it to nobody
A family member was admitted to their Psych ER. The nurses we spoke with were very kind, but the Psych Liaison staff were incredibly rude. More importantly, while in their care, this family member had managed to self harm herself, and was telling them that she still had a plan on commiting suicide, yet they claim she did not present a danger to herself, or others, thus did not meet criteria for an involuntary hold. Additionally, she had not been on her meds for the 3 days she was there, until about 12 hours prior to discharge, which would usually warrant a longer period of monitoring to make sure that she's stable. I understand that an ER is just a temporary stabilization unit, but when we presented the facts of her needs to the staff, they more or less told us it wasn't their problem. They just held her for 3 days, then kicked her out the door, even when she was still clearly a danger to herself.
seems very unprofessional.. this hospital does not seem to want to help the people who really need the help! my friends who went in earlier went to get some help with mental health, but DIDN'T end up getting the help they needed. because it wasn't important enough? we should always be respected in hospitals. what do you all consider an emergency!? MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS, TOO! too many of us peoples are depressed, self harming, suicidal... look at your patients thoroughly! listen to your ALL of your patient's concerns, please! don't brush off cases that don't appear important to You. teach your employees\nurses to really listen better to your patients. this goes for all hospitals/clinics wherever in the world reading this. thank you.
After a two month hospital stay Sharp billed me over my out of pocket maximum. Despite having Sharp insurance no one could figure out how to bill be correctly. I had to file a grievance and Sharp still has over billed me. During the grievance process Sharp sent my bill to collections. To this date they have been unable to provide an explanation as to why this happened. I can only assume now that it was retaliation for complaining about Sharp employees not wearing masks. I have been told that I owe 5 different amounts for one hospital stay. and I was also told that I had hit my out of pocket max when I checked into the ER, as you can see in the email response I attached. Despite this they still sent the bill to collections. The management of this hospital aren't qualified to be in their positions and should be fired.
