Let me share a few things about working for this Company that will make you not want to work for these people. I grew up and worked for my family’s small mom and pop company while I attended college for first 15 years of my career in Trucking/Transportation, but I have also been active within the industry including distribution/logistics for a total of 33 years. My other half, was in distribution/logistics/transportation for a total of 15 years. We both come from “zero tolerant” and union environments working as non-union employees. We both have extensive experience in what we have done in the past. Even more importantly, every year we had mandatory training in company policy, SOP, 5S, and Ethics, but respect for each other was at the top of the list. Both of us took on working for Transloading Express. At first we were treated like family, but we found out soon after that that was not genuine at all. Working with the office staff like I was showed me how people were quick to backstab others. Within the laborers it was the same, including cheating on hours worked and manipulating weigh tickets to work in their favor. The owner is very quick to fire people that are not at fault when something happens and keeps those on board who are totally incompetent for the job that keep violating company policy. This includes not reporting accidents right away, not communicating with dispatch, to the yelling, screaming, bullying, and cussing out employees whenever they feel like it not only by the owner, but by another employee that after 3 years, still cannot do the job properly, but is the main cause of why one laborer almost lost his job, why others have complained how they were treated, why I lost my job and now why my other half has decided not to fight for his job because the owner is not willing to properly investigate all of the issues. They have even gone as far as not having HR present in these instances, or addressing these issues properly, issuing a termination text, and giving them their final checks while violating labor law rules within California when the law requires employers to issue termination checks upon termination, not two days after termination, otherwise for everyday it’s late, the employer is required to pay a full days wages each day the check is late as a penalty. They also have a office manager that has no clue how to properly handle employees and run an office, but most definitely will never stick up for you when the owner is wrong in making a final determination. Neither one of us never turned down a job, or was late to work, or disrespected anyone, yet we were treated horribly. The work environment is extremely toxic as long as certain employees remain there, but the owner has shown that he prefers to favor those that will lie to hurt others just to keep their job to avoid working under others and to pretend to work while she and others make personal calls all day or playing games on their phones. This was the worst place to work. They were lucky to have two people that did care about their jobs and helped clean the mess that others did not care enough to handle.
