Absolutely Fantastic, with old fashioned service If your looking for elegant surrounds within an original old style house, in a quiet part of Roseville, great service and a delicious French meal, then Saveur is the Restaurant for you. Inside or outside tables, Soft music is often playing in the background, setting the scene. Michael is most welcoming, as are his attentive staff. The attention to detail is second to none. It has a cosy, yet old world atmosphere. Saveur has been a regular restaurant for me over the years, whether its formal or casual dining, you wont be disappointed. The menu has something for everybody, pricing is reasonable, nice wines and parking close by. Do yourself a favour take someone special, for a great night out. What an inspired choice to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday with a family lunch here. The food was exceptional, with so many lovely options to choose from. Our table of eight all enjoyed every course, and the service, presentation and ambience was delightful. We particularly appreciated the set up for our group that allowed us to enjoy an intimate celebration, and the special birthday touches for mum. Our guests all commented what a great venue it is - now added to our 'places to visit again' list. Thank you Michael, Matt and Chef for a memorable experience.
Absolutely fantastic French restaurant. Much, much more than a Roseville local gem. The menu reflects classical French provincial cuisine with a good balance of seafood, meat and poultry dishes dishes. The lobster thermidor at $110 for a full 700g lobster is fantastic value and is rarely seen on the "cuisine nouvelle" menu of many modern French restaurants. Succinct wine list with many local notables giving the diner plenty of choices to suit their mood and course choices. Attentive but not intrusive service from enthusiastic owner and floor staff.
Valentines Day special menu. Overall this restaurant is very pleasant and the food is very good. We chose the paired wine option and they did an excellent job with matching the wine to the food. The food improved with the bread entree and hors d’ouvre being a little disappointing but the main and desert being well cooked and very well executed. For a suburban restaurant I think the pricing versus food value is around 15- 20 percent too high. Consequently might be back but with lots of choices maybe not.
