Friendly staff and great coffee. Love the fresh cakes too! QR code & hand sanitizer conveniently placed at entrance. I’ve been coming to this Charlie Lovett for a long time and it’s one of my favourite coffee shop.
Great coffee but avoid it if you’re hungry. Last time going here.
With many cafes closed due to the tighter restrictions for covid-19. I was told this cafe was still open. I had attended twice and thought I stumbled a great alternative. Coffee was drinkable, priced okay. Working from home, opted to get a morning coffee. The door was closed and required to open by turning the handle. Went back to the car, to get a tissue to open the door without touching the handle. Considering, how contagious and wide spread this Delta strain is. I mentioned to the staff member. The response was rather dismissive. That they have to have the door closed because the heater is on. Seriously... We are in a pandemic, we are lockdown, stuck in a 5km radius, people have lost income. It is not okay to make people touch a handle that clearly doesn't get wiped after each customer. When it could be kept open. It's not even a pushy or pull sort of door, you have to turn the handle. Most other cafes have actually closed off their doors and serving customers through the window. This may be a better option for this cafe to implement in their way in reducing the risk of covid spreading.
They serve excellent coffees. The food is good and other times average. They don't have vegan dishes on the menu but have a couple of vegetarian items that they'll happily change. They are mostly accommodating to changes in the menu. Plastic waste is an issue that they're not willing to address seriously. Parking is really good. Atmosphere and music is good.
It's a nice cozy place to go to. Their hot chocolate is very tasty.
