This has always been a favorite for both myself and my partner. The sandwiches have always been fresh and delicious!. Has been a go to for lunch for many years. Imagine our shock when my partner bought their favorite turkey and salad sandwich took it to work and then at lunch realized the roll was stale, salad old and wilting and turkey slimy and smelling like fish! Hope this was just a one off at the Henry Dean shop.
I love their pretzels and bread rolls and sandwiches. Coffee tastes good as well. I am stopping every day on my way to work to get something
I asked for a toasted ham and cheese croissant this morning. The girl put it in the toaster and stopped the machine early. When she gave it to me, I checked to see if it was toasted, but the cheese was still not melted, and I asked her to put it in the toaster again. She put it in for another 10 seconds and gave it back to me and said - it should be done now. I got it back and the cheese was still in one piece - not melted one bit. I didn’t bother asking her to toast it again - I just won’t bother going back here ever again. Pity because this is my usual order every morning along with a coffee. The coffee I got yesterday was half full and the one earlier in the week was like drinking plain milk - no flavour. Not sure where the regular barista is, but I now get my coffee down a bit, from Knight's Coffee & Tea. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but something has happened to the customer service in this place - what has happened? Has there been a change in management? I can't explain the decline in 'care factor' from the staff. Very disappointing.
Went up for a coffee and the Lovley young man behind the counter genuinely asked me how my day was. I was worst for wear but his happy attitude and delightful manner cheered me up. Then he said would you like a lovely cinnamon roll. It was the most delicious roll. It's hard to find that genuinely great service these days 👍 Coffee 10 out of 10
Love their sandwiches! Having a chicken pesto every morning. The girls at the counter are always so sweet and kind
