Because it's always fun presenting to a doctors surgery a being made to explain everything several times......to the same person. Rethink your current front counter staff, in particular the woman taking the "in" patients. Wouldn't know good customer service if kicked her.
Never in my life I've encountered more rude receptionists than this place. Understand that it's a stressful and demanding job at times as I myself worked as one before, but doesn't give anyone who works in that position a warrant to be rude. I rang for a possibility to see our doctor as walk in today as we need a medical certificate and our Dr is fully booked, but before I can even explain the rude woman just said in very short, dismissive, arrogant manner that, No, we can't do that. No, sorry, can't help. And hung up. What an unfortunate liability to the practice to have such employee. The Dr's are good here, the receptionists: they probably better off doing the practice and themselves a favor by working in a non-customer service environment because obviously they have no customer service skills. There are better ways to explain somebody else if the "Dr is not available and no, we are unable to do walk in as it is such and such..." definitely will sound better and showing more manner out of you than just shutting people off.
Cannot speak highly enough about this General Practice, from the administration staff to the Nurses and the Doctors. I have seen a few different GPs here, most of them young women who are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They take the time to listen and you feel like a person, not a number. Medicare rebates also processed on the spot!
I have been going here for 5 years, for me and my three kids. We have seen many of the doctors and nurses. They can usually fit you in and try to help in any way they can. On Tuesday they organised a new script for me and one of the lovely reception staff dropped it to the pharmacy for me. This was so excellent as I had a sick baby. They have seen me through the highs and lows of life and I will keep going back! Sometimes there is a wait but I just call ahead and check. They also have an app to book appointment out of hours which is great for piece of mind!
This is the best general practice. All the staff are friendly, helpful and encouraging. The doctors are great and up to date with the latest medical information. They link you to the best specialists in Newcastle and beyond. Central to Newcastle they are only a bus trip for most and well worth attending for all your health needs.
