Great library with really nice people. I stayed there for 6 days working for a project and I was really glad to see that the people are working on the towns youth education by teaching English and doing all sort of workshops. Really recommend people to have a look and talk with the young. Thanks for your time

I have been a user at My Library since 2005; I was learning English and I found everything I needed there, not only books and dictionaries, but also CD players, computers, videos and cameras. Occasionally different volunteers stopped by to help with English, photography and computer skills. I made new friends from different countries while practicing my English. I joined different activities such as an English speech contest, Photography and computer classes, game contests and writing the Newsletters. My Library is well known not only as an education center, but a place to make friends and do many activities. When I don’t not know where to go, I just go to My Library, I call it my second home. As my English skills and computer skill improved, I started a part time job in my third year of college. After I graduated, I got a scholarship from My Library to study Hospitality in Bangkok, Thailand for two years. I gained English skills, computer skills and confidence from My Library. I started to believe in myself and find and achieve my dreams after I found this place. I am happy to have found My Library.

@My Library is a wonderful and hugely valuable centre that provides books, videos and a whole host of other resources to promote independent learning for young Lao kids. Housed in a lovely old wooden home, down a pretty little alley in Ban Aphai, the library has a warm welcoming atmosphere and is well worth a visit - you can play chess or other games with the students or just chat with them about life in Laos, or simply relax on the balcony overlooking the river and read some of the many books on Laos, Buddhism and Lao culture. I love this project and would recommend any visitors to Luang Prabang to go check it out and make a donation.
