The Toucari Cottages are a wonderful place to stay in Dominica. The cottages (we stayed in the Mango Lodge and Treetops) have beautiful views, all the amenities you need for a home away from home, and are well cared for. The location is close to great beaches and fantastic hiking, and you can easily walk down to the water for fresh fish so you can make your own ceviche to enjoy on the terrace. You cannot find a more gracious, helpful, and knowledgeable host than Andrew - he was simply terrific. Book the Toucari Cottages, the space and host are great - you can't go wrong...other than not staying long enough!
Beautiful cottage and location!
Our stay at Toucari Cottages has been amazing. We quarantined in the Mango cottage and stayed an additional couple weeks. I can not overstate how gorgeous the view is from the porch!! The view of the bay and the mountains is amazing. I am teaching remotely and have 3 kids with me that are in school... Andrew made sure we had excellent Wifi. We have 3 to 4 Zoom calls going at a time with no problems. The house is very spacious for 5 of us... the beds are super comfortable and the porch is a great place to work all day. Town is a quick walk down the driveway and is a vibrant community that is a joy to be a part of. Everyone has been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Portsmouth is only a 10 minute drive away and is also a very friendly community that we have grown to love. We have become instant neighbors with so many people... it is hard to leave. Caso is a blessing... he has taken us out in his boat, showed us where the markets are, and been quick to reply to every question we have had. He and his gorgeous family are very gracious. Because of unpredictable COVID travel FUBAR, we were 3 days late, but Andrew was incredibly generous and adjusted our reservation. Our stay at Toucari Cottages has been such a blessing... 100% recommend for the location, the amenities, and the community.
We just stayed here as a quick getaway. As locals, we were very pleased with the owners fast response and willingness to prepare the cottage on such a short notice! The cottage is lovely! I would highly recommend a stay in the coconut cottage, excellent views and amazing comfort. They really paid attention to detail with the design and comfort! We will defiantly return in the near future! Thanks Mr. Andrew for your speedy response and for making our stay a memorable one!
