Jilemnice Castle Park is one of the quiet places in the city, where you can relax in the shade of mature trees or chat with friends. In the area, everyone can enjoy the local castle. In the garden you will find monuments and various nooks and crannies. If you are lucky, you will also find mushrooms.

The foundation of the castle park in Jilemnice was established in the 16th century. In the middle of the 17th century, Kryštof Bohumír Harant was responsible for the expensive raising and expansion of the garden, the planting of various plants, shrubs and trees, and two expensive fountains were also placed here. After the Harrach family entered the Jilemnice chateau, the demanding park was reduced, and after 65 years, several earlier buildings disappeared from the chateau park. After 1945, care for the park declined and the park was very neglected. The insensitive construction of the natural amphitheater destroyed many of the original trees. Due to the unbearable condition of the castle park, a decision was made in the 1970s to reconstruct it. The insensitive surroundings of the amphitheater were partially repaired, the roads were repaired and the greenery was taken care of. After this short stage, however, care for the park ceased. Now, thanks to the efforts of many organizations and individuals, the park has become a place of relaxation and rest.
