a tourist from Canada, I'm not used to such a compelling look at history ... and i could wander the park adjacent for a few days each year for the rest of my life / it was that sort of an afternoon ; if you see little else on your visit (I was most impressed by the park), check out those remarkable double doors and try to imagine the sort of strife waiting on just the other side. it is a remarkable country, and there is no getting around it
Lovely and filled with Cuban and European art from XVI to XX centuries. Beautifully restored after Hurricane Sandy tore the cathedral and Santiago apart in 2012.
Most amazing place to see while in Santiago de Cuba. Please, enter the building. The interior is where the treasure is. Entrance is free however, a small donation helps poor people and maintaining the building....I took the most amazing pics...
This church had been rebuild a few couple of times. It has be destroyed by from pirates, and earthquakes. Make sure you are covered when u are attending this holy place.
A wonderful building from both the in- and outside!
