    Excellent diner, great and attentive staff, absolutely amazing food for the island. Private restaurant which is clean. I eat there two evening in a row, the same plate (langosta grillet) was good, tasty and fresh both evening. Pricy but a sure shots! A real cuban experience!

    An excellent fish restaurant. We enjoyed the best meal of our Cuban holiday here. This restaurant is good by any standard, not just for Cuba (where we did have other great meals). The chef has talent. The cooking is good, beautifully presented, the seasoning subtile and well balanced, with better use of vegetables than we found elsewhere in Cuba. As already mentioned, this is a fish restaurant. I don't enjoy fish - unlike the rest of my party. For me there were only a couple of dishes to choose from, my brochetta was delightful. I would urge Thoms not to expand his meat offer though, but stick to his specialism. The menu, when translated into English, raised a few smiles, but presented no problems. It is concise, rather than crammed, always a good sign, and the prices are fair to both sides of the bargain. Thoms has good English, and is affable and keen to assist, several other members of his team have English too. He is rightly proud of his establishment. The restaurant itself, in an upstairs balcony room, is tastefully, quirkily decorated and airy on a humid evening.
