    Careful, there seems to be a guy waiting for tourists to use the atm and then mug them even in the middle of the day. We had been warned about a real case just a few days beforehand, but didnt know which bank. So we looked from away for a while, and all along there was this guy simply standing there for several minutes, obviously waiting, and not too happy to see us observing. We asked for 2 cops to accompany us and he immediately went away, after giving us a very very dark look. Maybe he wasn’t doing anything wrong, there’s no way to tell, but it didnt look good. Afterwards we immediately took a tuktuk, to be on the safe side.

    My only experience was with the ATM and it worked fine the day we were there. There are separate entrances at the front to either go into the bank or to use the ATMs. ATM we used dispensed both Colones and USD.

    Very bad service an ATM that does not work 1 hour of waiting and came to the teller and does not read the cards.
