The two days we stayed there, we didn't see any of the friendly attitude that other people had experienced. This isn't a language problem, as both my partner and I speak fluent Spanish. The last morning, they wouldn't even give us water for coffee and tea. We're both disappointed that they behaved this way. We feel we're agreeable and easygoing people. We don't need much for amenities to feel comfortable. But I would never recommend La Portada to anyone. Go somewhere else. It appears the establishment are only interested in receiving payment for the room and nothing else.
Super friendly staff, simple but perfect room and quiet in enough considering the hubbub of this small town.
