All good. Kind of expensive though (30CHF) for a Gumen pass, but it gets you to everywhere on the area
Efficient, impressively steep!
Nice hiking location in the nature. However, some routes are not well signed or guide you through small path through the woods. Good hiking shoes recommended. The cable car have seen their best days.
Braunwald is beautiful in the snow. The gondolas aren't running at the moment, but great for hiking :)
There are plenty of reasons to love Braunwald, for example that it's mostly car free and a real trip back in time. But one does wish that the means of getting up the hill would be updated. We've got T bar stuff from the sixties, old school chair lifts that knock you out of your boots and an ill conceived and slow multi-cabin-lift that struggles with the tiniest onslaught of skiers that want to get up the hill. I know this takes millions of pounds, dollars and francs to fix and that might never ever make financial sense, but otherwise I think this place will be doomed. Staff is mostly very friendly and they deserve praise, but the sub par infrastructure cannot result in a better rating.
