    If you buy Linthal - Gumen return half-fare card for 16.-, it makes you wonder that you have to pay an additional 9.- for the Gumen - Braunwald route. Then ask for 25.- directly in advance. Whatever!

    A place suitable for families away from the big tourist flows, only accessible by funicular and car-free (apart from sometimes annoying native vehicles). Ski slopes not huge but suitable for families.

    Braunwald is a winter holiday resort located on a sunny terrace in the hinterland of the Glarnerland. To the pearl of the Glarus Alps. which is only 90 minutes by car from Zurich, go up by funicular from the Linthal-Braunwaldbahn where you must leave your car. For excursions there are magnificent and well-prepared paths that can be traveled with snowshoes. The Grotzenbüel toboggan run promises breathtaking descents. Absolutely to visit
