    There also is a mini mart which is a good place to chill up for local people, especially in summer, hot season or hot weather. That also is called supermarket alternative, you can find some products that could be found only in the city.

    A gas station with attendants at the pump, but inside the building where you presumably pay is a convenience store. Not the greatest when you place it side by side with some of the larger supermarkets in Phnom Penh and Siem Riep, but the selection is more than adequate - especially for chilled beverages like grass jelly, Korean aloe juice, sweetened green teas, and corrosive sodas. There’s also a reasonable selection of soaps and body wash liquids here, and prices are clearly marked - useful if you haven’t quite sussed the inflated prices quoted in the covered market, a one minute bicycle ride south of the Pollution Station. There is parking outside the sheet glass window, mostly used by motor bikes but more than sufficient for upright hybrid bicycles as well. The interior of the store is air conditioned and there is seating inside the spacious mini mart. It’s best to visit early in the morning at 7 o’ clock if you want to avoid the heat. It’s also perfectly doable to cycle here until 10:30 am, when the midday scorch hasn’t quite kicked in. If you’re not worried by dogs, have a strategy for dealing with them, and have a current Rabies vaccination then coming here after dark is okay too.
