The tax preparer made it evident she was not interested in helping us. Her over all demeanor showed he impatience and lack of customer service soft skills. I paid for 2019 and 2020 over $500 for a basic return. It was not a long form on either filing and could not be filed electronically. My fiancé also filed the exact same way for 2019 and 2020, yet was charged $247.
My tax Preparer, Mr. Douglas, was very helpful and nice. He explained everything he was doing on my tax return as well as the new online account. There was also a Woman, short blonde hair, who greeted me and explained the different ways I can get my taxes done without leaving my home. The entire office was very nice and inviting. Excellent Customer Service!
The price honestly. If there was a price guide saying if you have qualifying children and EITC it will be x amount. A person goes in thinking a hundred or hundred and fifty. But all of a sudden its. 299.00 Almost a slap in the face for an extra 10 minutes of work to fill in the forms ON A COMPUTER . Its not as if they had to engrave the tax returns in stone. A set price guide.
My tax expert was very helpful and was honest with me. I enjoyed his advice. I hope to see him again next year.
