Superb. I wish I would have gone here before. John was great and super helpful. I went in with a 2018 Ram today. I had what I expected was a small problem with my ventilation, but I had a big issue fixing it. John was trustworthy and knowledgeable. He earned my trust and future business. Thanks John.
Customer service is awesome, John was very nice and funny.. will definitely be back!!
I came here to get my thermostat and A/C compressor replaced. The day after the work was completed, my car overheated. It had never overheated before. I checked the engine and radiator hose was disconnected. The plastic hose clamp had broken when John moved the hose to replace the thermostat and caused the coolant to drain and the water pump to burn out. I called Eiler Tire & Brake and John agreed have my vehicle towed to his shop at his shop. I dropped my keys off the next day and he then changed his mind and said he would pay half. I came back later that afternoon and he then led me outside to look at my car. I calmly asked if we could discuss this inside because I had a feeling where this was going and wanted the other customers to hear what was being said in case I was right. He ignored me and kept walking. John said I had not been honest with him regarding my vehicle and that it was an old car and had 200,000 miles on it. He then accused me of trying to scam him. I repeatedly asked him what he felt had been lied about or how I was trying to scam him. He would not answer and became increasingly aggressive. (a specific answer would have ended the argument right then and in his favor but nope no answer no matter how many time i asked him. be careful with mechanics who won't tell or show you what's broken.) He then called me a scammer and yelled at me to leave. Check the reviews on Yelp. There is a review from a girl who felt like she was being taken advantage of and had her dad call to figure it out. When the dad pressed John for specifics, he started getting aggressive, refused to tell either of them what part was actually needed and then shut the conversation down by stating that he refuses to do business with them. This is the same tactic he used with me today. There are more reviews like this, but they might be listed under Sun Valley Auto (that's the name on my invoice, not Eiler) I'm filing a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair next. There are better mechanics in Ramona. Go to Charlie's Garage instead. (I just needed the temperature gauge and A/C working. A professional mechanic would have diagnosed any potential problems with the cooling system or related parts after the initial work was finished and discussed them with me during my first visit. I'm not a scammer, John. I'm just a customer who was paying you for service that you didn't provide or bother with any post-work quality checks for damaged or missing parts either. Since that's the service you agreed to provide, I'm still at a loss for how that makes me a scammer. And then when you asked me to leave: that was my plan already, dude. I'm not interested in scamming someone just to get my f--king thermostat replaced or having you install a new water pump that you broke in the first place. Not sure how dishonest you actually are, your neighbor seems to like you; but checking other reviews makes it obvious that this isn't the first time you've treated a customer like this. Get f--ked.)
Great service. Went in to get a tire repaired after running over a few screws. John was great. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
