    I was fortunate enough to have Dr. David Smollins, M.D., as my pain specialist several years ago. He is a very well-educated physician who is a great deal more compassionate than most of the other pain specialists (and, indeed, most other doctors) I have had experience with.

    I saw Dr. Bathia because I had pain from my neck to my lower back. She talked about my lower back and when I asked about my neck pain, b/c that's what was likely causing my headaches, she said that my "lower back and neck weren't anatomically connected" and I would need to make another appt to discuss my neck. Last time I checked, all my body parts were somehow connected. Stress was causing body-wide tension and of course one was connected to the other, doesn't take an MD to understand that. She is sucked into the western medical model and needs to take a step back, LISTEN to her patients, and not try to talk as fast as possible to get one patient out and the next patient in.

    Dr smollin is the most caring doctor on personal and professional level . I have been seeing dr for over 3 years now . The doctor has changed my whole quality of life . He is also a person that will take time to listen and take time and listen and try to help or suggest things for your personal life
